The Trash Route-Trash Day
Version-2-The front End Loader
Based
loosely on Daniel Newell- y2jfan2009 (On flickr) career as
a real trash man
Daniel was a very direct
one and done kind of guy. His wife, was a kind, strong, open-minded and very
loving motherly type of woman. Daniel adored his wife and his wife adored
Daniel very, very much. Daniel and his wife were a young couple. They lived in
Colorado and while Daniel was out working as a trash man, his wife stayed at
home operating a home daycare. Daniel went to work early in the morning around
3:00 and got to work by 4:00, just in time to log into the time-clock and then
go to his trash truck to do his daily walk-around visual inspection before
taking the truck out on the route. Daniel was assigned to two trucks, one was a
Front End Loader and the other was a rear loader.
Today, Daniel was driving
the rear end loader.
Daniel starts the truck
after the walk-around visual inspection and a safety light check then starts to
drive out of the yard. Daniel's first stop is an apartment complex closest to
the yard. Daniel arrives at the apartment complex and backs up to the dumpster.
Daniel activates the PTO just before he gets out of the cab and pushes the
dumpster into the tippers. Then he locks the tippers and then he activates the
tippers which cause the dumpster to rise and tip over. The trash inside begins
to fall into the hopper like a trashy avalanche. Daniel starts the first part of
the compactor blade's cycle. The blade opens up then it starts to come
downwards towards the load in the hopper then it stops. Daniel hits the switch
and the compactor blade pushes forwards. The trash gets forcefully shoved into
the packer body. Then Daniel lowers the dumpster back down.
Then he puts the dumpster
back into place. Once Daniel is done. As Daniel is preparing to leave, The
Dispatcher calls Daniel on his cell phone.
Daniel Newell: This is Daniel.....
Dispatcher: Daniel, I am informing
you that today when you get to both of your daycare stops, there will be some
unusual trash that needs to be collected.
Daniel Newell:
OK...HOW..."unusual" IS this so called trash??? What IS it??
Dispatcher: WELL, there will be some
diapered people and their diapers in the trash can when you arrive. BOTH
daycares have called us yesterday to inform us that there are a couple of
diapered people in the dumpster and if you get there at your usual time, around
9 am, the daycare will bring out a couple more. This is going to happen at the
first daycare. The other daycare said that they have two diapered people in
their dumpster along with their clean cloth diapers, several cases of clean
disposable diapers, their dirty disposable diapers and some clothing. Can you handle
getting them all into the truck? If not we can send out a special collection
truck for them....
Daniel Newell: No, that won't be
necessary. I can take care of it....no problem!
Daniel finishes up at this
stop and then drives to the next stop, a mall.
There at the mall, he has
four dumpsters that he must dump. Daniel dumps the dumpsters and then runs the
compactor. Once the load was sufficiently packed, Daniel puts the last dumpster
down. Daniel then drives away from the mall and then to the next stop, a fast
food restaurant 2 miles away from the mall. Daniel arrives there and puts the
forks down and then slides them into the slots on each side of the dumpster. He
then raises the dumpster and empties the trash into the hopper. All the large
bags rain down into the hopper as Daniel runs the first packer cycle before he
puts the dumpster down. Then Daniel heads to the next stop, one of three
daycares. The first daycare is three point 5 miles away from Daniel's last stop
and that much closer to the waste-to-energy plant that Daniel drops the loads
off at.
About 20 minutes later,
Daniel is pulling into the back of the first daycare approaching the dumpster
that has a locked set of gates in front of. Daniel stops the large front end
loader trash truck and then gets out, keys in hand. He goes over to the lock,
and inserts the key. He unlocks the padlock then pulls the key out putting the
opened lock back into the slot temporarily while he swings both gates open.
Then as he starts to turn around, he turns his head to look at the dumpster.
He sees that the loads of
trash inside the dumpster have risen above the edge of the dumpster and that
there was one diapered person lying on top of a bunch of rolled and unrolled
disposable diapers, cloth diapers and quite a few large cardboard boxes still
full of unused, clean Huggies, Pampers and Luvs disposable diapers. Daniel
decides to take a closer look to be sure that the load isn't going to spill out
all over the place. Daniel goes over to the load and starts to move some of the
larger items around in the dumpster so that they won't fall out when he picks
the dumpster up. He then walks around to the back side of the dumpster and uses
his gloved hands to push down on the thickly diapered boy laying there on top
of the diapers with a lot of diapers already covering him.
Diapered Boy: HEY! What? HEY! Why are
you doing that????
Daniel: To make sure that you
won't fall out onto the ground when I pick the can up.
Diapered Boy: NO! STOP! HEY! I must
have fallen asleep! I am in a dumpster? You are a trash man?
Daniel: Yes, now, you are trash!
I am here to dump the trash!
Diapered Boy: Will that thing crush
me?
Daniel: Of course. I have to. It
has to make room for more trash!
Diapered Boy: NO! Sir, where are you
going????? STOP! I don't wanna go in there!!!
Daniel goes back to his
truck and gets in. Then he pulls the truck closer before he slides the forks
into eh slots. As the dumpster starts to rise, the load jiggles and vibrates
slightly. Daniel starts looking at the frightened look on the diapered boy's
face as he begins to raise the dumpster.
Daniel: (thinking to himself) I bet if that boy's diaper wasn't wet
before, it IS now!!! I will help you pack for your journey to the
waste-to-energy plant kid!
As the dumpster continues
to rise, the diapered boy starts to beg not to be dumped into the truck but
Daniel doesn't care. He knows that if whatever is in the dumpster is there to
be disposed of and that he doesn't talk to the trash if he can help it. That
would be silly.
Diapered Boy: NOOOOO! STOP!
PLEASSSSSE! EEEEEEW! I am not trash...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Thump! Crash! Boom!
crackle, crackle, crackle!!!
The daycare trash full of
diapers, the boy's clothing small food scraps and papers and lots and lots of
clear trash bags full of wet and messy diapers falls into the hopper and covers
the diapered boy. Just then, three women came out of the
daycare, with one very
thickly diapered and disabled small man and another thickly diapered girl that
one of the ladies was holding. One of the ladies motioned to Daniel. Daniel
lowered the can and then got out of the truck. One of the ladies was pushing a
large trash cart full of diapers and other trash that needed to be taken that
day. the ladies start to approach the dumpster and Daniel.
Blonde Daycare Lady: Excuse us sir, we have a
few more things that need to be taken today. Can you help us?
Daniel: Well, I suppose....If it
doesn't take too much longer....I have a lot of other stops to make.
Blonde Daycare Lady: Thank you. (To the
redhead already walking over to the dumpster carrying a very thickly diapered
girl) Go ahead and load them in ladies....
Daniel comes over and
helps the brunette lady with the thickly diapered and disabled small man. He
picks the thickly diapered small man up and then he drops him into the
dumpster.
Thickly diapered and
disabled small man: HEY! STOP! NOOOO! What....are you....doing!!!! Let GO of me!!!
Daniel: Sorry dude! You're trash
now! Trash goes into the dumpster! I'm just doing my job.
Daniel then goes over to
the blonde lady pushing the trash cart full of diapers. Daniel helps roll the
cart over to the lower side of the dumpster where he starts to toss the clear
bags full of wet and messy diapers into the dumpster. The bags land on the
thickly diapered people in the dumpster who verbally complain.
Thickly diapered and
disabled small man: HEY! STOP!!! I don't belong in here! it stinks in here!!!!
Diapered Boy: Those are dirty! HEY!
Stop tossing them at me!!!
Daniel tosses one of the
larger and heavier bags at the diapered boy and the weight of the bag knocks
the boy down.
Diapered Boy: UH! (BOOM! crackle,
crackle, crackle, crinkle)
Daniel: Now, both of you shut up
for a bit while I finish tossing all of these bags and loose clean and dirty
diapers in here so that I can get you all dumped into my NICE...dirty trash
truck...ok?
Thickly diapered and
disabled small man: NOOOO! SIR? Please! Don't throw us away please!!!! I don't wanna
be thrown away!!!! I'm NOT trash!!!!
Daniel Newell: Sorry kid! The cleaning
ladies here were told to take you out here. I am JUST here to pick the trash
up!!!!
Daniel and the two
cleaning ladies help Daniel toss in the rest of the diapers from the trash
cart, dumping a lot of the loose, clean and folded cloth diapers, plastic
pants, boxes of Pampers, Luvs, Huggies Snug and Dry, opened and partially used
packs of Parent's Choice diapers, Dollar-Store diapers, and loose wet and messy
disposable diapers as well as both boy's fully stocked diaper bags, and all of
their clothes.
Once the cart was empty
and all of the diapers, the two boys and one thickly diapered, drugged and
sleeping, disabled blond girl were in the dumpster, Daniel got back into his
truck, inserted the forks and then began to raise the dumpster up and as it
began to rise, the dumpster then began to tip over. The two diapered people in
eh dumpster began to scream and cry as they fell into the hopper along with the
rest of the trash already in there. As the first half of the load of whining,
complaining trash and bags of trash as well as all of the loose diapers began
to fall down and into the hopper, Daniel started the first compactor cycle and
as the compactor blade began to slide towards the rear, one of the boys turned
and looked at the wall that was coming towards them, with a scared look on his
face while he flooded his diapers. Daniel then put the dumpster back down and
backed away before putting the forks back up.
Daniel Newell: (Thinking to himself)
WHEW! I am SURE glad that's over....On to the next stop!
Daniel then waved good-bye
to the cleaning ladies as he drove out of the alley way and back out on the
street. Daniel. As he drove to the next stop, another daycare not too far from
the other one, Daniel listened to some rock music in the cab until he got to
the next daycare.
Turning to the right,
Daniel drives two blocks then turns into the parking lot of the next daycare
and as he approaches the area where the dumpster is. He stops then puts the
truck in park and puts the air brakes on. Then Daniel gets out, walks a few steps to the locked gates in
front of the dumpster and then uses his keys to unlock the padlock before
swinging the first of two gates wide open. Daniel looks up and sees a very
thickly diapered and disabled dark-haired man who turns out to be his own son,
laying on top of a small pile loose, unrolled disposable diapers.
Andy: (waking up from a long
nap) Hey, what is going on here? HEY! NOOO! I don't wanna go in the trash
truck!!!!
Daniel Newell: Sorry son, you're gonna!
I am here to dump the trash! You're in the dumpster, so you ARE trash!
Andy: I need my diaper changed
daddy!!!! It's soaked!
Daniel Newell: MAN! I don't give a shit
about your diapers son!!! You're going for a nice long ride to the
waste-to-energy plant! They are going to burn everything I dump out there and
turn it into energy! See ya! Got to get back to work! (Daniel walks back to his
truck and gets back in.)
Andy: NOOO! Wait! Hold on! I'm...NOT
ready yet!!!! WAAAAAIT!!!! OH! COME...ON!!!! Why did I get thrown away
Daddy????? How come I am in the trash can Daddy?
Daniel Newell: (Yelling out of the
driver’s window of the truck) Because son, your mother and I can't afford to
take care of you and your twin any more. All of the extra diapers we have to
buy, all of the special sized diapers that we also have to buy, it's just too
much!!! I'm sorry son, but it HAS to be this way.
Andy: Daddy? Where is my twin
brother??? How come he...isn't in here too?
Daniel Newell: (Yelling out of the
driver’s window of the truck as he slides the forks into the dumpster) Oh, he
went to HIS daycare on the other side of town where they are going to throw him
into the dumpster there. He is going to be picked up at the next daycare on my
route. OK son, ready to go into the hopper now? Here we go...ready for the BIG
slide? Looks FUN right?
Daniel raises the dumpster
and watches as the loads of trash and his thickly diapered son begin to slide
down into the hopper. Looking at his thickly diapered son laying on top of all
of those dirty diapers, he says to Andy:
Daniel Newell: (Yelling out of the
driver’s window of the truck) I hope your diapers are REALLY comfy, because
it's going to be a LONG ride after this...
Daniel watches as the
dumpster tips over and all of the trash falls into the hopper. As Daniel raises
the dumpster, Andy begins to focus on where the dumpster is about to be dumped.
Andy sees for an instant, a large load of diapers and other stinky trash that
is filling the hopper about a quarter of the way. Suddenly the dumpster
tips and the loads of diapers and Andy begin to tumble and cascade out
into the large and deep hopper. As Andy falls onto the loads below him, the
loads from the dumpster suddenly cover him with white, black and clear trash
bags full of diapers and other trash as well as the large piles of loose rolled
and unrolled disposable diapers, cloth diapers, packs of opened and unopened
disposable diapers and loose still usable disability bodysuits, onesies, a
couple dozen pair of pants that open at the sides, two dozen plastic pants, and
still packaged and unopened packages of Pampers, Luvs, Parent's Choice diapers.
Daniel Newell: (To himself) it’s Packer
time son! Enjoy!
Daniel hits the compactor
cycle button on the truck’s dash console and then puts the dumpster back down.
Then Daniel backs up a little a little bit then puts the truck in park, gets
back out and walks over to close and relock the gates before going back to the
truck. Daniel gets back in, then slowly and carefully puts the truck into drive
and then heads off to the next stop.
The next stop is another
daycare that is only 10 blocks away from the first one.
Daniel gets into the
left-hand turn lane and then stops at the light. As the green left turn arrow
blinks, the cars in front of Daniel turn and then the yellow light blinks as
Daniel turns. Daniel drives the truck the last two blocks and then turns right
into the parking lot of the daycare. Daniel drives over to the first of two
large dumpsters this daycare has, lowering the forks as he approaches. The
black plastic dumpster lids were flipped over and hanging on the back side of
the dumpster because the dumpster was so full.
Lying on his stomach on
top of the load was his son, Jack. Most of his back was covered by a large
clear untied trash bag stuffed full of cloth and disposable diapers that belong
to Jack. Daniel pulls up closer and closer to the dumpster. Daniel then inserts
the forks and then the dumpster rises up. All of the rattling and jiggling the
load made awakened Jack.
Jack: UH! huh? What is
happening? HEY! What are you doing???? Daddy! What are you doing here?
Daniel Newell: My job son, it's time
for your disposal now. You're trash and trash goes into my nice, big, hungry
trash truck. I swear! You and your brother are SO much alike! Well son, I will
tell you what I told your stinky brother right before he went into the truck;
Your mother and I can't afford to take care of you two any more. All of the
extra diapers we have to buy, all of the special sized diapers that we also
have to buy, all of the extra food we have to buy, and how about all of those
onesies you two go through and rip so often? It's just too much!!! I'm sorry
son, it was the ONLY way.
Jack: Daddy! WAIT! Don't I get
one last wish?
Daniel Newell: (Leaning out of the
driver’s window of the trash truck) OK I suppose...it depends on what it is...
Jack: Can I get this onesie
taken off of me so that I feel cooler please?
Daniel Newell: Yea...I suppose....I
will have to hurry though because I still have a lot of stops to make today.
Daniel gets out of the
truck once more, then goes over to Jack in the dumpster and takes the onesie
off and then tosses the onesie into the dumpster next to Jack.
Jack: Daddy! Can you change my
diaper? That thing ripped part of my diaper and now some of the stuffing is
coming out!
Daniel Newell: No son, you'll just have
to stay in the one you have on....I am going to compact you and this load of
diapers now! You have all of those cloth diapers under your disposable diaper.
Packer time son, bye-bye now.
Now, comfortable? Ready to
become compacted trash now son?
Daniel gets back into the
truck and then raises the dumpster. Daniel waves to Jack laying in the dumpster.
That makes Jack even MORE frightened as Daniel continued to raise the dumpster
in the air.
Daniel Newell: OK, here comes the BIG
slide....down....you...go.....
Jack: HEY! I am NOT trash
Daddy! AHHHH! Thump!
Crinkle, Crinkle! HEY! Why am I being thrown away Daddy? I thought I was going
to my usual daycare today!
Then, as the dumpster
tipped, the avalanche of
clear bags, full of dirty diapers and black, white, and neon blue trash bags
also full of wet cloth diapers, wet and stained clothing, crashed down into the hopper
falling on top of Jack who was now in the hopper laying on top of a couple
burst open bags of his own wet and unrolled adult and modified Pampers diapers.
Jack: Daddy! Daddy! STOP! Let
me OUT daddy!!! PLEASE!!! It stinks in here!!! I don't wanna be trash daddy!
WAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Daniel Newell: I'm sorry Jack, but it's
time to be trash now....I have to start the compactor now....I really wish
things had turned out differently. Bye-bye son....it's packer time for you....
Daniel runs the packer
cycle. Daniel watches as the blade as it pushes Jack and the diapers and other
trash up into the container. Then Daniel empties the rest of the load into the
hopper then puts the dumpster back down and puts it back down into the dumpster
area before closing the gates and relocking them. Then Daniel then heads off to
the next stop.
The next stop is a
warehouse and today they have tossed out a TON of new Huggies diapers that were
damage somehow. The diapers weren't that bad and still could have been used by
someone but now they are trash and Daniel doesn't care what is in the
dumpster...he just dumps it and then goes...Daniel gets the dumpster into
position and then once the dumpster is locked into the tippers, he activates
the tippers, the dumpster rises and the loose clean disposable diapers as well
as all of the 20 to 30 boxes of new, damaged diapers began to fall and tumble
into the hopper. As half of the diapers fell into the hopper, Daniel ran the
compactor. Daniel runs the packer cycle completely ignoring the pleas coming
from Jack in the hopper as Jack and the diapers are getting packed in the first
cycle at this stop.
As the rest if the load of
diapers and other trash tumbles down into the hopper, Daniel starts the packer again
as he lowers the now empty dumpster and puts it back.
Daniel then drives to the
next stop, a factory. He pulls into the parking lot and then backs up as close
to the dumpster as possible. Daniel starts to raise the dumpster into the air
and over the spillway that is over the cab. The dumpster tips over once it gets
over the hopper, causing everything in the dumpster to shift and start to
tumble and fall out into the hopper. Soon, Daniel activates the packer blade
and then as the blade starts advancing, everything from this load begins to get
crushed up against everything from the prior loads.
Jack and some loose clean
diapers and a couple smashed boxes of diapers are getting crushed upwards
towards the roof of the container as the packer blade pushes on.
Daniel starts the first
part of the packet cycle, then hits the lever to start the second part of the
cycle. The packer comes down and then grabs part of a bag of trash that was
from the daycare in the factory. Part of the bag is sticking out from under the
packet blade as the blade cycle finishes. Then Daniel dumps the remaining trash
in the load and then lowers the dumpster. Once the empty the dumpster is
lowered, and then Daniel slides the forks out and then raises the forks and
folds them back, before driving to the next stop.
The next stop is a Babies
R Us.
Among the other trash,
there are a lot of dirty diapers and damaged new packs of the Babies R Us
store brand. There are about 60 packs of medium, large and extra large
damaged, opened plastic packs of disposable diapers, a couple of diaper bags
with diapers in them and one that has a damaged zipper. There are also four
discontinued never used display models of strollers and then two very well
packed and well stocked display diaper bags filled with various brands of
disposable diapers, generic baby powder, twelve new all-in-one cloth diapers
all stuffed inside and sticking out of the diaper bag.
Daniel pulled up to the
dumpster and slid the forks into the sides of the dumpster. Then Daniel began
to raise the dumpster. everything in the load in the dumpster began to shift
and shimmy. Some of the packs of diapers began shift to the front of the
dumpster as the dumpster continued to rise and quickly tip over. Then
everything began to fall out into the hopper almost filling the entire 10 X 10
hopper area.
As the first half if the
load of diapers and other trash fell into the hopper, Daniel ran a packer
cycle. The packer blade forcefully pushed forward….HARD! Then, as the packer
blade finishes the crusher cycle, Daniel loads the remaining trash into the
hopper and then runs another compactor cycle before getting the dumpster back
down and back into place. Then Daniel backs up, removing the forks and then
turns to the left before heading to the second to last stop.
The next stop is an
Italian bistro....Daniel, as usual, pulls up and inserts the forks into the
slots on each side of the large dumpster. Then, the Dumpster rises and then
tips over as the trash bags begin to tumble and fall into the hopper.
Daniel waits until all of the trash
fills the hopper before starting the packer cycle. As the cycle finishes,
Daniel puts the dumpster down and back into place. The truck returns to idle as
Daniel then backs up and then drives to the last stop before he has to empty
the truck.
Daniel drives to the next
stop, another Babies R Us Store along his route and drives along the
back where the dumpster is. Daniel pulls up to the dumpster and inserts the
forks. Inside the dumpster there are 50 opened unsold packs of clean and unused
disposable diapers, packs of damaged cloth pre-fold diapers, sixteen loose and
damaged new onesies, footed sleepers, and some torn overalls, as well as five
discontinued strollers, a few diapered cabbage patch dolls, bags of bathroom trash,
that have dirty diapers in them, among other things.
Daniel raised the dumpster and dumped all of the trash
into the hopper before putting the dumpster back down. Daniel then started the
compactor cycle, as the packer blade advanced, the load inside the hopper rose
up under the resistance and then Daniel made the packer blade retract a bit
before the blade pushed in again and then it retracted a bit again and then he
ran the packer cycle again before the packer blade fully retracted.
Daniel: Well, to the dump, to
the dump, to the dump, dump, dump! Hehehehehehe! (the western horse running
tune from the lone ranger)
Daniel chuckled to himself
as he backed up and then began the long drive to the waste-to-energy plant.
About 30 minutes later,
Daniel pulls into the lot and then to the scales. He presents his ticket and
then once the weight is taken, Daniel drives around to the tipping area. He
backs the truck up and stops. He begins by opening the automatic tailgate then
he starts the ejection cycle of the packer blade, causing almost everything in
the load to start falling out into the tipping floor. Daniel runs the ejection
cycle of the pressure blade cause the rest of the load to be dumped out into
the floor in a big pile behind the truck. Daniel pulls forward a little as the
remaining trash falls out. Daniel pulls forward a little bit more then shuts
the truck off.
He then gets out and
asks if he can watch them load his two twin diapered boys and their diapers and
clothing into their incinerator. The waste-to-energy plant manager comes over
to Daniel and then Daniel ask s him the same question.
Daniel Newell: May I watch you all load
my loads of trash into the hopper of the incinerator please? I want to see what
happens to it all. I’m very interested in how all of this works.
Plant Manager: SURE thing! Come with
me.
Daniel and the plant
manager go over to the pit area where every load of trash gets pushed into and
then the two men wait and watch until the load that Daniel had JUST dumped, is
pushed into the pit. It isn't long before a bucket front loader and a landfill
compactor come along. The operator of the bucket loader sees both thickly
diapered boy laying in the pile with their feet sticking up. The man gets out
of his cab and then goes over to the two boys who are barely conscious, but
still semi alert
Bucket Operator: Hey! What are YOU two
doing in here?
The man had radioed to his
supervisor to meet him there and as soon She arrived, she knew that this load
was already pre-approved and accepted.
Jack: My daddy JUST dumped
both of us out of his trash truck with our diapers! My Daddy and Mommy threw us
away!
Andy: What is going to happen
to us now? Where are we?
Supervisor: These two are
trash....they have been pre-approved for disposal. Go ahead and push everything
into the pit while they wait to be loaded into the incinerator.
Well Andy and Jack, WE are
going to push you and this load into the pit, then once in the pit, we will
load you, your diapers and all of this other trash into that…. (pointing over
to the large incinerator) incinerator where you two and all of this trash…will
get burnt and then converted into energy.
Bucket Operator: I sure hope they get you two into the incinerators soon, I
just can't WAIT to turn you two into energy!
Supervisor: They will be done soon enough but to educate
you a little, everything in here is already energy, what we do here by…burning
it all, is we convert it from one type of energy into another. Energy can’t be
created nor destroyed, only converted into other forms.
Bucket Operator: AH! I…will remember that!
Then the Supervisor
instructs one of his employees to take all of the diapers belonging to both
Andy and Jack with Jack and Andy while the supervisor takes the two diapered
boys over to the chutes that drop into the pit.
Supervisor: Just get them into the pit with the rest of
the trash.
Bucket Loader Operator: Sure thing, on it boss.
The bucket loader operator then gets back into the cab and
then he scrapes everything into the pit, including Jack and Andy along with the
rest of the load they were in. Then as Jack, Andy and the load of trash were in
the pit, it wasn’t long before the giant claw with it’s eight tines began to
pick up large loads of trash and then swing the loads over to the incinerator
hopper. The first, through sixth loads were just regular trash. Then the plant
manager got onto his hand-held radio and asked the claw operator to load the
trash with the two thickly diapered boys and their diapers into the hopper so
that Daniel could get back to his route.
The two boys were laying
there underneath all of the wet, clean boxes and packages of disposable
diapers, trash bags full of trash, clothing, clean and dirty diapers, diaper
bags still with useable cloth and disposable diapers still inside, and all of
the trash bags full of other trash inside them, were busy about to “wet their
diapers” in…another way, as they were playing with the clean diapers and some
of their folded over wet diapers when the claw began to descend upon the load
they were in. The large claw came down with the tines opened and then it sunk
the tines down and then it grabbed a large portion of the load the boys were in
as it began to pick them up. As the claw rose up, the boys both felt as though
they were being carried by something. They didn’t know just how RIGHT they
were! As the load that the claw had, began to be slowly swung over closer and
closer to the hopper on the far side of the plant, Jack “wet” his diaper HARD
as Andy also followed suit. As the two boys began to relax, they found
themselves
Falling through the air
and onto a larger load of trash that was already in the hopper about to fall
down into the boiler. As both Jack and Andy were still visible by both Daniel
and the plant manager, Daniel waved good bye to both of the boys as he watched
them fall down into the boiler. First, the valve opened and then the boy’s fell
down into the extremely molten hot boiler and as they fell, they instantly
caught fire as they fell. Andy screamed for a few second and then Jack got out
a 3 second scream before bursting into flames along with everything in the load
they had been in.
Daniel Newell: (To the plant manager)
Thank you sir, for letting me spend my break, watching how you convert trash
into energy.
Plant Manager: How come you threw your
boys away?
Daniel Newell: Well, we could no longer
afford to diaper them. Those….special diapers are really costly you know. The
misses and I talked about it for weeks and weeks before we decided this was the
only way.
We tried putting them into foster care, we tried admitting
them to various care facilities but it was going to cost us more than it was
worth. We even tried to adopt them out, and no one wanted them. Finally, my
wife called their daycares and talked them into throwing them away in their
trash at the end of the day. There just was no other way.
Plant Manager: Well, I
know it MUST have been a very, very hard decision to make. At least now they
can be used to power homes and business instead of taking up valuable land
space that would have cost you two thousands more per year.
Daniel Newell: I will be back once I
fill my truck up again.
Plant Manager: Sure….pleasure to do
business with you.
Daniel Newell: Likewise. If I have any
more that want to throw their unwanted diapered trash away, I will remember to
bring them here in the future.
Plant Manager: Sure thing, we will
process them like the rest of the trash.
Nice meeting you.
Daniel Newell: Same here….
Daniel waves to the plant manager as he turns and walks
back to his truck. Daniel gets in, starts it and then pulls out and back onto
the road to continue his route.

Waste-To-energy-Plant”
