Here's how to find out if you're listed on the NY stock exchange, as I just found out I actually am!
1. Get your social security card.
There is a number on back of it that starts with a letter followed by 8-digits (mine was 8 digits, maybe yours is more or less)

2. Go to fidelity dot com - [link to www.fidelity.com (secure)]
3. Click the "research" button
4. A sub menu should have popped down.
Now click "Quotes"
5. A new page should come up.
Click the "Symbol Lookup" link
6. Now, you're going to Search for: Mutual Fund by: Fund Number.
7. For the Search Value enter: your birth year and the number on the back of your social security card separated by a backslash /
It should look something like this: 1977/Z16470903
(remember to capitalize the letter off your ss card, if its capitalized)
8. After you entered the number, now click "search"
9. The name class of your security will come up along with the symbol word, cusip number, and fund number.
(note: it may be different for some. Some may also have a tracking number)
10. Click on the "symbol" word (it's a link).
This will bring up your information.
Every person born in a certain year has their bond or fund bundled together with every other person born in that same year. So depending on what year you were born, your information should be the same as other citizens born in the same year.
